About chimney sweeping in Dallas
Most Dallas fireplaces burn a few weekends a year, then sit. That idle time is exactly when birds nest, leaves pile up on the smoke shelf, and old creosote hardens into the glazed kind that catches fire hot and fast.
A proper sweep clears all of it, from the firebox and smoke chamber to the top of the flue, and gives you a look at the condition of the liner while it's clean enough to see.
What's included
- Floor and hearth protection with drop cloths and a HEPA vacuum
- Firebox, damper, smoke shelf and smoke chamber cleaned

- Level 1 visual inspection included with every sweep
- Before and after photos sent to you

Chimney Sweeping questions
Still unsure? Call (214) 000-0000 and ask a real person.
How much does chimney cleaning in Dallas cost?
The quote depends on chimney height, roof access, the fireplace and flue type, and how much soot or creosote needs removal. Ask whether the price includes the inspection, floor protection and photos. Repairs or treatment for glazed creosote should be explained and priced separately before work starts.
Can a standard chimney sweep remove glazed creosote?
Loose soot and flaky creosote can usually be brushed out. Hard, shiny deposits may need a different treatment after inspection. A cleaning log or chemical product does not replace a professional inspection and mechanical cleaning when needed.
Why does my fireplace send smoke into the house?
A blocked flue, a closed damper, damp firewood or insufficient replacement air can affect draft. Stop using a fireplace that spills smoke into the room and have the cause checked before using it again. Cleaning helps with deposits and blockages, but it does not fix every draft problem.
Why does my chimney smell in summer?
Moisture and airflow can carry odors from soot and creosote into the house. Cleaning, checking for water entry and investigating draft can help identify the cause. A cap alone will not solve every odor problem.
How long does a chimney sweep take?
Most sweeps take about an hour to an hour and a half, including the inspection and photos. Heavily glazed creosote can take longer.
Will it make a mess in my living room?
No. We lay drop cloths from the door to the hearth and run a HEPA vacuum during the sweep so soot stays in the chimney and out of your house.
Do I need a sweep if I barely use my fireplace?
Not always a full sweep, but a yearly look is still smart. Nests, debris and storm damage happen whether you burn or not.
